Description
Mode of Action
Uncouples oxidative phosphorylation in the mitochondria resulting in disruption of ATP production.
Insecticide and acaricide primarily active by ingestion but with some contact activity. translaminar mobility but limited systemicity. Pro-pesticide – the N-ethoxymethyl group is removed in vivo by oxidative metabolism to form tralopyril (q.v.) (CL 303268), the biologically active species.
Diamondback Moth (Plutella xylostella), Cabbage Caterpillar, Beet Armyworm, Cotton Bollworm (Helicoverpa spp.), and Tobacco Caterpillar.
Thrips, including those on apples, cucumbers, and other vegetables.
Leafminers (Liriomyza spp.), Whiteflies, Aphids (less emphasized than other pests but can be controlled), and Colorado Potato Beetle (Leptinotarsa decemlineata).
